WHO HERMANN IS
Hermann Barber, twelve years in the trade.
He started cutting hair at 14 and never stopped. Today he has worked professionally for twelve years, with the same attention to detail.
HERMANN · CUTS AND BEARDSHERMANN
The difference is in the edges.
A cut is judged by its edges: hairline, sideburns, nape. They’re the spots where you can tell immediately if someone rushed, and they’re the same ones that decide, ten days later, whether the cut still holds.
Twelve years behind the chair are for exactly this: knowing where to lift the clipper without having to think. Here it runs by appointment and we never juggle two clients at once, so everyone gets the time the work needs.
He started cutting hair at 14, just for fun. Today it’s been his trade for twelve years, and his strength is working well on every type of men’s hair — Afro, Caucasian, Chinese, Indian: the technique changes, not the care, so the result is always the cut and the service you came looking for.
“You listen before you cut. The rest is just technique.”@barberr_hermann

THE CRAFT
First you look at how they fall.
Then you cut, without rushing.
The edges don’t forgive.
The craft shows in the details.

AMONG OUR CLIENTS
The shirts on the wall aren’t décor.
Zapata, Gollini, Lookman, Okoli, Diallo, Tomori, Leão’s braids, and even Kyle Walker of Manchester City: more than a hundred Serie A players have sat in this chair. Whoever passes through leaves a signed shirt, and it ends up hanging above the mirrors.
HOW THE WORK GOES
Three things, always in the same order.
Nothing secret about it: it’s the round we do on every client, from the first of the day to the last.
We look
How the hair falls when it’s dry, which way the growth turns, what you didn’t like about last time.
We cut
We never start without a consultation. Then lengths with scissors, fade with the clipper, checked against the light at every pass.
We finish
Razor outlines, final styling and a couple of pointers on keeping it up — at home or for an important occasion.
THE STUDIO
Behind the sign there’s a passion.
The shop doesn’t have ten pairs of hands in it: cuts, fades and beards are always Hermann’s, from the first client of the morning to the last of the evening. For braids, Rich and Imane work to the same standard; dreadlocks are handled by Imane. The nickname came from the clients: la Main d’Or, the golden hand, because whatever it touches gains value.
THE TEAM
Who works alongside Hermann.
Rich and Imane handle braids. Imane handles dreadlocks, with the same standard of care as every other service.

Braids specialist
Rich
Rich works cornrows and braids with the same attention to the edges that a good cut demands: clean sections, constant tension, a pattern agreed before starting. He also does twist and flat twist.
@braidsbyrich
Braids & dreadlocks specialist
Imane
Imane covers the whole dreadlocks journey, from starter locs to detox, plus box braids and twist. Every job starts by looking at the hair: the technique is chosen based on density and length, not the other way round.
